In this inspirational film, Edward Asner (Mary Tyler Moore Show) excels in the role of Saturday Review editor Norman Cousins who became stricken with a progressive spinal illness in 1964. Possessed of an indomitable spirit, he refuses to submit to the seemingly inevitable limitations of his illness. Supported by his keen humor, and a loving and supportive wife, he is determined to prevail. The film is based on Cousins' heartwarming autobiography.
